Brookwood Middle School Reviews

I have such an issue with school. There aren't any extracurricular activities properly funded for the students. What is considered homework hour after school is almost non-existent. My son is more advanced than the rest of his class in mathematics and reading. The school is not challenging or well funded. I'm transferring my child to a private institution.

This school is awful. We have recently moved into the area and my son said he is afraid to go to school and says that he sees children get picked on or hurt and the staff just ignore it. It makes me fear for his safety. Worse, his assignments do not seem to be appropriate for his grade level, he breezes through them. If we could afford a private school, I would transfer him in a heartbeat.

This is my daughter's first year at Brookwood Middle School. The curriculum is not challenging. They seem to have a lot of discipline problems that are not addressed effectively. I will be looking for another school for my child.

This is my daughters first year in Brookwood Middle School. The children are behind. My daughters reading level is much more advanced then all the students in her class. The teachers really want to help the children but they can't help them by telling them the words they missed and allowing them to move on. Next year my chlid will attend a charter school in Down Town Chicago.
