Thomas A Edison Junior-Senior High School Reviews

they are great execpt for the dress code a little harsh really a little freedom will teach that we are not as strict as they say we are and less kids will have inschool.

It is not what you do at Edison. It is who you know and what sex you are. Children are not treated equally. To me, it seems the mission is lets get the kids out of school so we don't have to deal with them rather than work with the student & parent to keep the child in school.

I beleive that overall the school isn't a bad school, but, there are several issues when it comes to inforcing rules. From my experience, the staff are quickly ready to give consequences to students when they are wrong, but what actions are to be given when the staff are in the wrong. It goes both ways. I think they need to be a little more choosey in how they decide to elect leadership positions and look more at the experience the leaders have in that particular field. Afterall, our future is the kids of today, someone has to care.

This school is seeing a big turnaround under the guidance of the new principal. The staff are following his lead. Its a start. Keep up the good work. Keep control Mr. Principal--you are going in the right direction.

Positive things are happening at Edison School. The Principal is taking control and the discipline program seems to be working. The school is finally getting remodeled, which should have been started years ago. I love the Edline program to monitor my child's grades weekly. Most important to me as a parent is that the school is off probation and is once again fully accredited.

Well I have 6 kids two at I U Bloomington, 4 in Edison high school and this is not a good school at all. There is a bad attitude in this school and the principle and some staff lead it. I feel that there is abuse of power at this school and the parents need to be more involved or our students are to pay a sever price.

I have an eighth grader this year and he is getting so much from school, teachers, coaches in sports. The difference from last year to this year is undescribable. However, it would be nice if other parents were involved with their kids, you see girls in half shirts and belly buttons showing running around the school. Not during school but after and at sport events. No Parents around, no supervision.
