Morton Senior High School Reviews

morton gives students the chance and ability to become the best and stay the best, however, some teachers in the building act as if they care less about the students and more about a pay check... Pay close attention to your teachers and give the students back their old school. The school has chnged over the years. It use to be a very fun achool with a great positive environment. Because there are students who aren't so dedicated and positive as the rest of the student body it takes away from the children who actually try. Bring back powder puff games, the fun pep rallies, cute dances, and fun after school activities. Stop takeing the fun out of school. After all thats all our children have left in this world to depend on!

Morton is a good school, because most of the teachers actually sit down and work with the students face to face.

This school needs to have more control over the students. There has to be higher standards in order for the students to take the school more serious.

I went to this school 5 years ago and a lot as changed since then my younger sibling still attends this school and is fearful every day to go to school. Things need to be done before they get worse! This is a wake-up call to the people in charge that things may need some revising make school a safe place to be, and maybe the students will actually show up to class! If it was my decision my sibling would no longer go there! I am also glad that my son will never attend that school either!

What security? There doesn't seem to be any at that school. How can I feel good about sending my child to that school? It's so sad!!! Needless to say, it's bad!

This school is terrible. The wrong kids get in trouble for the wrong things. Staff is rude to not only the students, but my parents. Staff also seems careless. Saturday schools are giving out frequently for stupid reasons. My parents signed me out of school, and I'm doing great with homeschooling! Thank God.

I know my low rating might seem biased based on the fact that I am a current student (senior), but I assure you that I'm taking everything, including the positives, into account. We have a few great teachers who listen and care about what students have to say. The school tries to make things nice for us (new lunchroom, new lockers. etc.) even if spending that kind of money isn't a great idea. However I don't feel safe at all while in school.

Where do I begin? This school is not the same as when my child entered as a freshman, now a junior. If I knew what I know now there is no way I would have allowed my child to attend this school. Going here is like going to a school in the worst neighborhood of Chicago.

Current parent-2 Morton kids,Junior boy/Freshmen girl; Worked at MHS 1-year; Some teachers should retire or develop a new way to educate; while others don't always educate at the rate of the child; Success is only measured by how well the child does; Academically all children should take advantage of the counselors; they do an awesome job; with the new diplomas, more kids should be in class and take advantage of these; Although, lunches vary by district, why does the adult pay more than the kids but get the same portion, and not a kernal more; Mrs. Mayerik is always there for the kids in every way 'friend and disciplinarian', my daughter confides in her about academics, issues in the school and problems w
